Lightmoor Village Food Bank Collection

During November we are delighted to be partnering with Lightmoor Village Primary School and Londis Lightmoor to support our two local foodbanks and we are asking the community to support with a foodbank collection.

We all know the effect the cost of living crisis has had on many people and we have seen a huge increase in foodbank parcels being collected from the Oak Tree Centre in the past few months. There are many reasons why people are using them, changes in their circumstances, having to choose between food or heating or changes to benefits.

At BVT we support all residents with advice and signposting where we can, whether to information on our website, our money matters advisors or to the Citizens Advice sessions that we hold.

If you can spare an item or two, especially foods you can make with a kettle, such as noodles or pot meals are really useful, we’d be very grateful.

Please bring your donations to the Oak Tree Community Centre.
