Update on the Woodlands Phases

Phase two of the Woodlands is due to be completed at the end of June/early July, a map detailing each phase is shown below.

Due to a slowdown in the housing market, there is going to be a short temporary pause in construction before work on phase three begins in September 2024.

The temporary overflow car park, which was due to close when the new car park recently opened, will remain open until construction starts again .  The footpath from Harding Wood, which links the new development to the village centre, will also be reopened to provide pedestrian access.

The developer Morro Partnerships, formerly known as Jessup’s, will continue to  own the site and will use the summer to set up a new site compound, replace the newt fencing and put up new fencing and signage surrounding the site to reflect their rebrand from Jessup’s to Morro.

The remaining phases (three to six) have a combined 145 homes with 75% due to be market sale and 25% affordable rent. We’ll share further information about the start and completion dates for the remaining phases of the Woodlands closer to September.
