The role of an estate caretaker

Our three estate caretakers not only take care of the courtyards in our areas of responsibility (for details go to https://bvtlightmoorvillage.org.uk/your-home/estate-caretaker-rota-2025 but did you know their duties also include:
• Daily litter picks around the village centre.
• Carrying out regular checks around the parks and open spaces which can involve removing graffiti, rubbish and other reported items.
• Sweeping and removing leaves from the village centre.
• Opening, closing and cleaning the Oak Tree Community Centre.
• Where possible carrying out small jobs such as replacing loose slabs or covering uncapped screws on the play equipment.
