This year elections are taking place to join the Lightmoor Village Estate Management Committee.

The Committee work alongside our Lightmoor Village Estates and Stewardship team to support, represent, and enhance your community. Together, they help shape services, oversee budgets, and make sure Lightmoor Village remains a great place to live.

Please complete this nomination form and submit, together with a recent photograph, by midnight on Tuesday 5th May 2026. If you prefer to complete a paper version, please contact us via [email protected] or pop into the BVT office located in the Oak Tree Community Centre.

To be eligible for the committee you need to be:

18 years old or above.
Live in a Stewardship Charge paying household in Lightmoor Village (there can only be one candidate per household). Members can be tenants, freeholders or leaseholders.
To not be disqualified from acting as a member of the Committee which includes reasons such as bankruptcy or certain unspent criminal convictions (guidance will be included within the application pack).
Not in breach of the TP1 e.g unauthorised property alterations, non-payment of Stewardship Charge.

Committee members play a key role in decisions affecting the whole community. Members are expected to:

Attend four formal committee meetings per year
Attend up to eight project group meetings per year

There are also opportunities to get involved in additional sub-groups, depending on your interests.

As a committee member you will be involved in:

Considering and proposing the annual budget for the Stewardship Charge.
Developing and recommending an annual service plan.
Developing and recommending approval of the annual planned maintenance programme.
Developing and recommending approval of amendments to the design guide.
Receiving quarterly financial reports on expenditure against budget, estate management activities, community engagement and local partnership working and development in Lightmoor Village.
Receive and reach decisions on alteration appeals against the Lightmoor Village Design Guide.

Nominations open on 30th March and close on 5th May. You can nominate yourself online (form below) or if you require a paper copy, please pop into the BVT office in the Oak Tree Community Centre.

Tuesday 14th April – drop-in session at the Oak Tree Community Centre and live Facebook session.

If more nominations are received than places available, a contested election will take place and more information will be provided.
