Update on Lightmoor Way South Works
Posted on: 26 Nov 25
Following our previous update on 1 October 2025, we are pleased to share the latest information from Telford and Wrekin Council regarding the works in preparation for the adoption of Lightmoor Way South.
We’re delighted to confirm that the kerbing and block paving works have now been completed, allowing Lightmoor Way South to fully reopen. As a result, no further road closures will be required. The road has been swept, and the local bus company has been informed to make sure normal service can resume.
While the main works are complete, a small number of tasks are still scheduled over the coming weeks, including:
- Replacement of some kerbs on the south side of the road
- Topsoiling behind the newly replaced kerbs
- Pothole repairs
- Lighting works
- Resurfacing a small section of the tarmac footpath near Stoney Hill roundabout
These remaining tasks will be carried out without any additional road closures, helping to minimise disruption.
Please note that full resurfacing of the road is planned for around March, as tarmacking cannot be carried out during the winter months.
We will continue to provide updates as the project progresses. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed.
