Lightmoor Way road update

Last month we gave an update on the adoption of Lightmoor Way and the works that will be required. We mentioned Telford & Wrekin Council as a good will gesture had temporarily fixed the potholes due to the condition of the road and frustration raised by residents.

We advised that the roads were being snagged and costed by Telford and Wrekin Council Highways Team and work was expected to begin in April. However, we’ve now had an update to say the local authority have changed the scope of work, which increases the cost quite considerably. The main change for this, is the suggestion Lightmoor Way North will need to be resurfaced, which wasn’t planned for previously.

Due to the increase in costs, this now needs to be verified by our consultants and then approval will need to be sought from Homes England and BVT for the additional cost. This will take time and as soon as we have confirmed news of dates we will advise on our website and social media.
