Update about Lightmoor Village youth activities

We know many residents wanted organised youth activities in the village, which is why in 2023, we applied for funding with Lightmoor Village Delivery Group (a partnership with Telford and Wrekin Council) to finance a youth project.

We were successful in gaining funding and the success of the Lightmoor Village Youth Project has been fantastic. We know the young people who attend the clubs, forums and activities organised by Shropshire Youth Association and our volunteers love it.

In 2025, we applied again for funding and were successful, although the amount given is less, which means activities will continue but reduced to two youth clubs a week during term time. A small contribution will be asked for (£1 per week for each young person) to make sure the clubs continue.

This year we’ll continue looking for funding and we’ll also be organising some fundraising activities. If you would like to help with the fundraising, please get in touch by popping into the BVT office in the Oak Tree Community Centre or email [email protected]
