First veterans' family fun day held in Lightmoor Village

Veterans and families are invited to join us for the very first Veterans Family Fun Day at Lightmoor Village!
📅 Saturday 11 July
⏰ 10am – 2pm
📍 Squatters Cottage, Lightmoor Village
Come along for a fantastic free community day packed with family-friendly activities, traditional woodland crafts and outdoor fun for all ages.
🪵 Try your hand at traditional woodworking skills
🔥 Enjoy supervised s’mores around the campfire
🌳 Learn more about local woodland management
🍴 Food and refreshments available throughout the day
👨👩👧👦 Fun activities for children and adults alike
Delivered in partnership by Bournville Village Trust and Small Woods, the event celebrates the amazing work supporting veterans as they transition back into civilian life through woodland and woodworking programmes funded by the Veterans Foundation.
Whether you’re a veteran, family member or local resident, everyone is welcome to come together, get involved and enjoy a day in the great outdoors.
